Gouldians are native to Australia and natural inhabitants of the grasslands. They are also commonly referred to as Natures Jewels, Rainbow finch and Gould. Gouldians are extremely colorful little birds, with some of the boldest and brightest coloring of any bird.
These pretty little birds are a delight to have in our home.
We didn't set out to breed the Gouldians, but things just sort of fell into place and we have been blessed with three Gouldian chicks! Because Gouldians do not always make the best parents, they were "fostered" by three Society Finches, who did a wonderful job of raising them.
